Office Romance!

Interning isn't that bad after all. I feel very fortunate knowing the fact that, despite not meeting up as often as we could, friends still warm up to me the very instance we meet up.

Work started off with me realizing that I am the only intern around, at least for a period of two months before the second SMU intern comes along. I was looking forward to interacting with my peers - thus the horror when I learnt of the truth. This is because my company mentioned that there will be many interns ,and so I felt cheated. LOL

Horror strikes again when I realized that I have to dine alone for lunch! I think those that I have met for lunch had heard about my very upsetting lunch story. There are three colleagues in my isolated department, Mr. X, Ms. B and Ms. Y. Mr. X and Ms. B are married, to each other. So that makes Ms. B a Mrs. X. Haha. Apart from that, Mr. and Mrs. X often have lunch appointments and thus, I rarely get to get with them. So what about Ms. Y?

Ms. Y goes home for lunch every day. If I live near my office, I will definitely eat at home too! Homecooked food's certainly healthier!

And, since I am not a social butterfly, I don't really interact with other departments!

Luckily, this is a blessing in disguise.

If I have lunch partners at work each day, I wouldn't have the chance to meet up with Wei Biao, Chee Ching, Gillian, Pei Juan, Simin and Daphne for lunch! And we wouldn't know when will be the next time we are going to meet up! At my wedding dinner?

Interning also creates the opportunity for new relationships to be forged and existing relationships to be strengthened as well! Friends that I always see online from 9 am to 6 pm, all of us have the same mission - to slave through the entire day in the office, trying hard not to fall asleep in the midst of reading, complaining to one another when your supervisor gives you shit stuff to do, and to get entertained at the same time! And hence the invention of MSN comes along and save us all! Not to forget the occasional e-mails sent out to certain people too! It is a good time to fall in love with one another too!

And it's nice to have someone for company through the day. :) And no, I am not falling in love with any one yet.
